- StreetPrint: Imprinted & Colored Asphalt
-
H&D can take your newly paved or existing asphalt surface and imprint a pattern plus color to make it look like newly installed paver bricks. This process is called “StreetPrint”. On the surface, StreetPrint looks like solid brick. It is actually textured asphalt stamped and sealed with a protective base coat and covered with a colored epoxy modified acrylic. Lower capital investment and faster installation makes StreetPrint more cost-effective than any other decorative paving system.
For patterns, colors and project ideas go to www.StreetPrint.com.

We construct a wide variety of recreational projects, including walking / bike paths, golf cart paths, skate parks, tennis courts, pickle ball courts, and basketball courts. More Information
- What is asphalt?
-
Hot mix asphalt is a mixture of liquid asphalt cement, air, sand and gravel. Hot mix asphalt is economical, flexible, smooth, long lasting and easy to maintain. Asphalt is the most recycled product in the world. Asphalt is designed to withstand hard frost-freeze cycles like we experience in Northern Michigan, it will flex and give without cracking. In addition, asphalt is not affected by the use of salt or snow melt products used during our winter months.
- Asphalt construction methods
-
Hot mix asphalt is transported by truck to the jobsite. Material is transferred from the truck to a self propelled asphalt paver. The paver lays and compacts the asphalt in a uniform layer. A steel drum asphalt roller performs the final compaction.
There is a lot of preparation that must be considered prior to paving. Excavation and removal of organic materials from the area to be paved. Placement, compaction and grading of an aggregate base are just a few of the steps taken before asphalt can be properly laid.
Proper asphalt construction methods will vary for each project. Just like any successful construction project, each project must be assessed for use and function and each site must be assessed for the type of soils, existing drainage and a proper foundation.
One of our friendly estimators will asses your project based on your wants, needs and local construction codes. They will then provide you a written proposal, price and plan to properly construct your project. Our construction methods are based on 70 years of experience in the asphalt industry, so you can rest assured that you are getting a quality job.
